Come si cucina il basilico nano?
Il basilico verde fine è ideale per insalate, salse, zuppe, primi piatti, pizze, piatti a base di pomodoro e piatti di carne. Si sposa bene con ingredienti come pinoli, parmigiano, aglio e olio d'oliva. Aggiungilo fresco a fine cottura per preservarne l'aroma. È ottimo anche nel pesto.
Per un piacere più originale, aggiungilo alla tua macedonia di frutta di stagione con un tocco di panna montata, oppure combinalo con la mela per un succo di frutta Green Attitude!
Consigli per coltivare con successo il tuo basilico nano
Pazienza, cresce! Il basilico verde fine ama prendersi il suo tempo.
Cresce a strati, con numerosi rami che danno origine a piccole foglie. Aspetta che ci siano almeno 3 nodi sul gambo prima di raccogliere per la prima volta (circa 15 cm di altezza).
Puoi iniziare a raccogliere dopo 4-5 settimane o quando la pianta ha 3 nodi sullo stelo. Taglia uno stelo 1 cm sopra un nodo (non di più!). Assicurati di lasciare almeno 10 cm di stelo. Dai la priorità al taglio delle foglie più alte e di quelle che ombreggiano gli altri lingotti. Potrai quindi gustare il tuo basilico ogni settimana per 4-6 mesi.
È importante potare e raccogliere le erbe regolarmente, prima che le foglie raggiungano la luce.
