Nextbase 122: The new entry-level Dash Cam
The 122 fully establishes itself as the standard entry-level Dash Cam, with improved 720p HD recording on a 5-layer glass lens and a 120° viewing angle, making it ideal for younger or first-time drivers. With free cloud video storage at mynextbase.com, you can be sure that your footage is stored at a secure location. Our eyes on the road, your mind on the journey.
The 122 Dash Cam records at 722p resolution, with full 30 frames per second. This is also known as Standard HD and is similar to normal HD TV broadcast quality.
Click & Go
Our exclusive Click & Go Pro car mount has integrated magnetic power connectors. Install and remove your Dash Cam with just one hand. The high strength neodymium magnets on the mount and Dash Cam click themselves together so you are ready to go!
As soon as you park and your ignition is turned off, the Dash Cam will automatically switch into “parking mode” by shutting down everything except the G Force sensor. The sensitivity of the G Force sensor is then increased dramatically. With only the G Force sensor active, the power consumption is incredibly low, using the internal battery of the dash cam to detect any knocks or bumps to your vehicle for over a week.
A G-Sensor is an accelerometer that registers values based on the amount of force applied during an impact. Reaching a pre-set value will cause the recorded footage to be protected and moved into a folder that cannot be overwritten by any other recorded footage. The padlock will appear in the centre of the screen once the G-Sensor is activated, thus indicating to the driver that the file is locked.
Loop recording on a dash cam allows for continuous recording even if the SD memory card reaches full capacity. This means older files are overwritten once the SD card reaches its file size limit. The Dash Cam will be recording on a continuous loop when powered on. In the event of an incident, any files protected manually or by the G-Sensor will not be overwritten and stay on the SD card.
Play, edit and share your Dash Cam footage on PC or Mac (Windows 7/OSX 10.9) using the newly developed playback software MyNextbase Player. The software has been developed in-house to provide a fully enhanced playback experience, with the inclusion of an updated Google Maps feature, speed and G-Sensor readings to display all important information that can be passed on to an insurance provider.
