What can be done by connecting a computer by USB?

    1. DJ software supporting MIDI connections can be operated. (Full Assignable USB-MIDI function)
    2. The sound from DJ software on the computer can be output through the CDJ-350. (USB Audio Interface function)

What does "DJ software can be controlled without using a special control disc" mean?

A "control disc" is a special disc for controlling the DJ software on the computer from the CDJ. This is a system used by other DJ software brands, which are sometimes sold with a special disc for controlling that DJ software. The DJ software can be operated by loading this special disc on the CDJ, without any other changes to the CDJ. (The signals of the special disc are input to the computer via a special box.)
The CDJ-350 can be connected directly to the computer by USB, so there is no need for the control disc.

Tell me the MIDI connection specifications.

When controls and buttons are operated, the corresponding MIDI signals are output from the USB port (for details, see "Using DJ Software" in the operating instructions). Signal assignment cannot be changed. Also, MIDI signal input is not supported.

Can the CDJ-350 be used as a sound device?

Yes. Select the CDJ-350 in the computer's sound settings.

What sort of settings should I make to use multiple CDJs as sound devices on a Mac computer?

To use multiple CDJs as audio output devices on Mac OS X, you must create a "device set" using "Audio MIDI Settings" included with the Mac computer and make the required settings.

    -For Mac OS X 10.5.X
With all CDJs to be used connected by USB, launch "Audio MIDI Settings" in the Applications:Utilities folder.
From the "Audio" menu, select "Device Set Editor". Next, click "+" on the device set editor screen to add a new device set.
Click the added device set to select it, then add the required number of CDJs to that device set.

    -For Mac OS X 10.6.X
With all CDJs to be used connected by USB, launch "Audio MIDI Settings" in the Applications:Utilities folder.
Next, click "+" on the "Audio Installation" window to add a new device set.
Click the added device set to select it, then add the required number of CDJs to that device set.

After creating the device set, select this device set in the sound output device settings of your DJ software.
